Meeting with Prof. Anja Seng from FOM University of Applied Sciences, Germany

The WEE Hub management team met with Prof. Anja Seng from FOM University of Applied Sciences, Germany to discuss opportunities for collaboration on Women's Economic Empowerment initiatives. The meeting took place at the JKML boardroom at the University of Nairobi today September 6, 2022.

The FOM University of Applied Sciences offers professionals a chance to gain a state-recognized university degree without having to give up work or restrict their professional activity. The university structures its programs to enable both professionals and trainees to optimally combine study and work by scheduling lectures in the evenings and at weekends.

The meeting explored possible areas of collaboration in the women’s economic empowerment sphere, the meeting was also attended by the UoN WEE Hub leader Prof Wanjiku Kabira, Dr. Mary Mbithi WEE Hub Director of research, Dr. Dorothy Njiraine and Emilly Owiti both of the Communication and Knowledge management at the UoN WEE Hub.

The FOM University is one of Germany's biggest private institutes of higher education that has been accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia
