The Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies hosted a High-Level Intergenerational Dialogue during the Africa Climate Summit, co-convened by the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA).
Under the theme "Africa Driving Climate Adaptation Solutions," this event served as a platform for bridging generational gaps and empowering African youth to take charge of climate adaptation. The gathering featured global leaders, international delegates, and students from across Africa, all united to amplify the voices of the youth in the context of climate action.
Distinguished global figures graced the occasion, including Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, Gracia Machel, a renowned advocate for women's and children's rights, and Akinwumi Adesina, the President of the African Development Bank.
H.E. President William Ruto was represented by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba.
