AWSC TEAM HOLD TALKS WITH SERBIAN SCHOLARS - 3rd June 2024

A delegation of scholars from the Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship from Serbia held talks with the African Women Studies researchers to explore opportunities for collaboration. During the meeting that took place on June 4, 2024 at the University of Nairobi’s main campus, the team discussed the prospects of collaboration in five areas including research, mentorship, skills exchange, agricultural economics and joint proposal writing for funding from the European Union on Women’s Economic Empowerment.

The Serbian delegation was led by Prof. Dr Aleksandra Tosovic-Stevanoic, the Head of International Office, Prof. Dr. Gordana Gavric, Erasmus Coordinator, Prof. Zorana Nikitovic, and Dr. Nikola Radic. The African Women Studies Centre was represented by Dr. Dorothy Njiraine, Knowledge Management and Communications Coordinator, who chaired the meeting, Ms. Rose Muriithi a Senior Researcher, and Ms. Beatrice Kamau a Researcher at the Centre. The team encouraged staff and students to apply for and benefit from the Erasmus program.
