International Day of Care and Support Workshop - 24th October 2025

In celebration of the International Day of Care and Support 2025, the WEE Hub convened a dynamic one-day workshop that brought together key stakeholders from across Kenya’s care ecosystem. Held on October 24th, the event served as a powerful platform for reflection, collaboration, and action toward strengthening care systems through evidence-based approaches.

The workshop’s theme, “From Insights to Impact: Transforming Long-term Care through Research and Evidence,” guided rich discussions and knowledge exchange among researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and advocates committed to advancing care work and support structures.

Workshop Objectives:

• Sharing recent research findings that illuminate the realities and opportunities within Kenya’s care ecosystem

• Fostering dialogue and collaboration around the generation and use of care-related data

• Driving policy and practice change through impactful, locally grounded research

• Advancing investments in evidence generation to inform care policy and practice

This convening reaffirmed WEE Hub’s commitment to elevating care work as a cornerstone of inclusive development and gender equality. Participants left energized to champion data-driven solutions that honor caregivers and strengthen support systems for all.
