The WEE Hub participated in this year’s edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week held at the University of Nairobi Main Campus from May 17th to 19th 2023.
The event themed Innovation and Commercialization for Sustainable Development provided a platform for innovators to showcase their work and connect to the corporate sector.
The WEE Hub stand at the exhibition was a valuable opportunity for the team to enlighten attendees on the Hub’s work, its accomplishments, and its profound impact on women's lives.
During his visit to the stand, UoN Vice Chancellor Prof Stephen Kiama commended the WEE Hub describing it as ‘the epitome of the University of Nairobi’
Beneficiaries of various value addition training programs under the Women in Business Incubation Project got the opportunity to showcase their products. Among showcased items were canned fish from groups trained under the Fish Value Addition training in Kisumu County and potato flour products from the Maono Mother’s Group in Nyandarua County.
