WEE Hub Kicks Off County NPWEE Stakeholder Engagements - 18th March 2026
The Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) Hub has begun a crucial new phase in our ongoing work to strengthen the National Policy on Women's Economic Empowerment (NPWEE). Our team has officially commenced a series of stakeholder engagement forums across the country, with plans to reach 16 counties.
This exercise, which is being undertaken in close collaboration with UN Women and the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action entails extensive mapping of Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) and Women in Leadership (WiL) policies, as well as gathering of input from stakeholders on prioritization of sectors for women’s economic empowerment.
Its core purpose is to ensure the NPWEE is not only comprehensive but also deeply rooted in the real-world experiences and priorities of women across Kenya.
