On Friday, August 23rd, 2024, the Women's Business Incubation Program celebrated a significant milestone with a graduation ceremony for individual women entrepreneurs who have successfully completed the program. This entrepreneurship training, implemented by Technoserve in partnership with the WEE Hub, has been running for three years and has equipped these entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to grow their businesses.

The event was filled with celebration and dancing, bringing together graduates from the city and neighbouring counties, while those from other regions joined virtually.

Organized by the WEE Hub and Technoserve, the ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including UoN Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Enterprise, Prof. Francis Mulaa, who delivered the keynote speech. Other notable attendees from the university included Prof. Jack Odhiambo, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Prof. Genevieve Wanjala, representing Associate Dean Prof. Nelson Amugune.

Representatives from financial institutions, such as Equity Bank and SBM Bank, along with a representative from the Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA), also attended the ceremony.

The audience had the opportunity to hear inspiring success stories from entrepreneurs who have shown exemplary growth in their businesses since joining the program. The event was a joyful celebration of the hard work and dedication of these women entrepreneurs, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their business journeys.

The WEE Hub and Technoserve teams are immensely proud of all the graduates and extend a hearty congratulations to them for this achievement.
