The African Women Studies Center (AWSC) WEE Hub invites you to tune in for an engaging and interactive discussion on KBC Radio English Service on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 8:00 am. The conversation will focus on the importance of social protection and what the Social Protection Policy and Law provides for Kenyans, with a special emphasis on how it impacts women’s economic empowerment.
On December 6, 2024, Researcher Ruth Wamuyu took part in an engaging radio dissemination session on KBC Radio English Service. During the program, she presented key findings from the Women’s Economic Empowerment Hub’s (WEE Hub) study on the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) initiative.
Researcher Rachael Keeru participated in a successful radio dissemination exercise on KBC Radio English Service on Monday, November 25, 2024. During the session, she highlighted the contribution of childcare to women’s economic empowerment and shared key research findings on the role of nutrition in child development.
Dr. Agnes Meroka-Mutua participated in a successful radio dissemination exercise on KBC Radio Taifa on Thursday, November 28, 2024. During the session, she discussed the status and role of the women’s movement in advocating for women’s economic empowerment. The program provided an excellent platform for sharing insights from the Networking and Alliance Building for Women’s Economic Empowerment (NABWEE) initiative, highlighting its contributions to policy development. Listeners engaged with the research findings, making it a valuable opportunity to amplify the impact of NABWEE's work.
